AUTHENTIC BORNEO

Embark on an authentic Borneo adventure – where lush old world forests serve as the backdrop for an extraordinary conference experience! 32 officially recognized ethnic groups make up the people of Sabah. All these ethnic groups live together harmoniously while preserving their own unique cultures, traditions, festivals, cuisines and customs. This colourful mix promises to make the experience nothing short of exhilarating!

Day 1
Upon arrival, transfer to the Borneo Rainforest Lodge in four ‘Xperience Borneo’ convoys. Admire a changing landscape of regenerating forests and virgin rainforests that are millions of years old! En route, stop at Taliwas Recreation Centre for light refreshments.

After checking into the Rainforest Lodge, take a short rest before heading to dinner in the jungles of Borneo for an authentic spread of local delicacies and ethnic specialties! Dinner is accompanied by a showcase of traditional music played on Sabah instruments made from natural materials like bamboo and lightwood.

After dinner, we break up into three groups for night activities. Group A will embark on a ‘Night Safari Drive’ in search of nocturnal animals, while Groups B & C will go for an exciting ‘Night Walk’.

Day 2
The day starts with breakfast and a half-day conference, before ending with a buffet lunch. In the afternoon, go river tubing at the Danum River! Then, freshen up for a themed dinner (Malaysian Hawker Night or customized theme dinner). After dinner, break up into three groups for night activities! Group B will go on the ‘Night Safari Drive’ in search of nocturnal animals, while Groups A & C will join the ‘Night Walk’.

Day 3
Wake up to the early morning calls of the Borneo Gibbons and start your day with a guided trek to the Kadazandusun Burial Site – ‘Coffin Cliff’. Then, trek to ‘View Point’ for a bird’s eye view of the area. End the morning trek by descending to the Jacuzzi Pool for a refreshing dip. Refreshments and a barbecue lunch at the poolside follow.

Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure, or relax at the lodge. In the evening, attend the themed dinner (Malaysian Hawker Night or customized theme dinner). After dinner, break up into three groups again - Group C will go on the ‘Night Safari Drive’ to search for nocturnal animals, while Groups A & B will join the ‘Night Walk’.

Day 4
Spend the day at leisure before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
